Plugging the device in is yours. An outdoor socket, or any change to the circuit itself, is not, and that is more homes than the adverts suggest.

Need an electrician for the socket?

An outdoor socket has to be IP55 or better. If the circuit's overcurrent protection device has to change, the specification is explicit that only a qualified electrician may do it.
